different struts (drop link brackets)

   I'm removing my front arb and was going to grind the bracket off, prep, prime, paint. But i've seen a pic of a set of diesel struts which dont have any drop link brackets. I know certain models mount in different ways.
   
   So is there any model/s/age range I need to be looking at that dont have a anti roll bar and have tappered bearings?

   I have a feeling its the 1.0 mk1s with 3 stud.

   I just scrapped a set of 3 stud struts, with no droplinks/mounts.
   
   Although, I'm pretty sure later 1.1's still use the same sort of strut- tapered bearings.

   Mk2 1.1 will be the best bet i think as they're taperd 4 stud hub's and have no droplinks
