My 106 GTi has a intermittent problem.
When driving normal at say, it seems to be holding back a bit but not so much that passengers notice.
I just feel like she's holding back.
Then when the problem really reares its head, the car will lose all power like when a car runs out of petrol,
and starts dying down in the revs. If I keep my foot on the throttle all of a sudden it kind of jumps back to
normal again, only to do it again.
So far I have changed from my mates vts, coilpack, map sensor and throttle body with sensors and none of these fixed the problem.
I'm thinking maybe its the lambda sensor? The car has a cat and its blowing out a bit somewhere.
No check engine light and at full throttle it pulls pretty hard 90% of the time.
Any ideas of the culprit?
