i have a 1.1 spi engine and i was wondering if i can put bike carbs on this?

what would i need as i have r6 bike carbs with inlet manifold but not sure if it will fit! intake hose sleeves, servo hose and 4 hoses off each inlet port to a single block for the air mass metre to fit it?

    cheers

to fit bike carbs you will need a stand alone ecu.
a manifold making up to fit the inlet ports on the head. along with a bit of silicon hose between the inlet and the carbs

i belive r6 ones may be too big. bit will need drilling out.

what are the jet sizes in the r6 carbs do you know./

you can run carbs with the original ecu.. just use the spark side... fuel side doesnt do anything.

R6 carbs may overfuel abit.... have to remember with bike carbs... yes they came off a 600cc bike... but a bike will rev to atleast twice as much as a 1100 cc car engine

Therefore a bike reving flat out for 1 minute.. will pull as much air/fuel as a 1200cc car engine.. if not a 1400cc

Mate of mine fitted zzr600 carbs to his S2 rallye. they had been on a 1.4 106, and where using standard jets! He obv had to drill the jets out abit for the 1.6 engine

I know there not bike carbs but I use to have a 1.1 fiesta with 2 twin 40 carbs and it was a hell of a lot of fun. It can be done as said no need for a ecu parts from a ax gt can be used to get around that. Have some fun with it mate.
