Headlight Adjustment

Anyone know the beam setting from a fixed distance on a wall?
For instance ?? feet away beams should be ?? from floor and ?? from centre of car.
All it says in Haynes is take it to garage.

Just put Nightseacher + bulbs in and the things are pointing to the floor.

It could be pointing so low due to the way you've put them in, I found when I put them in slightly clockwise the aim wAs much better if they were strait would point very low. Also check the wheel just below the right side of your steering wheel that changes the height.

^^^ put on highest setting, car 25 inches from the wall and the beam should be just under your knees. So you can dip your beams if you carry passengers at the back(with more weight the car points up and so does the beam)

Cheers guys, found this on net to set them

"On the wall or garage door mark the lights' horizontal centerlines with masking tape. This masking tape thus should make a straight line across the wall. Also mark the vertical centerline for each light. So you should now a basic idea or T area where the headlight should be centered.

Next move your car back 10 to 25 feet from the garage or wall.

Now turn on the headlights on the low beam setting. When you adjust the low beams, your high beams should set to the right level as well. With the lights now on, see how the beam matches up with the horizontal and vertical masking tape lines you have placed on the wall.

You want to adjust the low beam lights so that they hit two to four inches below the horizontal centerline and two to four inches left of the vertical centerline. You do not want the lights to be completely centered either horizontal or vertically. If the lights were totally centered they could blind the oncoming traffic when you drive on the roadways.Being pointed slightly down from center allows the light beam to keep light on the road."

Just gone out to align them, full adjustment and still on floor. Took bulbs out and put them in on the piss and it did the trick.

Any other car and you get slots that the bulb can only go in one way with no play........not this bos French crap.
