Saxo Grinding Noise Driving

  1. #1
    Hi,

My car has just started making a noise, when driving. It's coming from
the front drivers side. To stop making the grinding noise, which happens everyone and again and I need to put power on the accelerater. But comes back when taken off.

Also a clunking/grinding noise when turning (right)

Just looking for advice before a take it a garage so I don't get ripped off.

    Thanks

could well be a wheel bairn or driveshaft !

I could be wrong but a while back on my VTR it would make that noise all the time and would only stop when your doing over 50 MPH or accelerating. It ended up bieng the driveshafts.

    Hope this helps.

    UPDATE

Passenger side is making a whistling noise

Driver side is making a grinding noise, from what I can tell at the moment is at low speed.

driveshaft mate. and the whistling could be your wheel bearing

Thanks, for your replys. How much would I be looking for parts an labour for each?

Could grease and a metal clip be a temporary hold for the CV for a few days, to stop the noise until a go to a garage?
