Bouncing Fuel Needle after Alarm install

   just installed an alarm and for some reason when I turn my car on the fuel needle bounces 3-4 times and returns to nothing 0.
   
   I dont know whats going on. it can't be the alternator as everything else is working so we are getting power to everything. We didnt even touch anything near the dashboard..

   Check your earths mate.

   I had this issue on my vts. After quite a lot of time spent on it and a fair bit of research on here, i'd say its probably earth/s down in the footwell (pull the carpet back, below bonnet catch, similar place on drivers side) or as i ended up doing and re-earthing one of the wires on the fuel pump wiring.
