gearbox

   just got a gearbox for my car a vtr box (3rd one) same as the one that was in 20CD60 stamped on it
   
   put problem i have found is the gears are back to front now with this box reverse is left and back now and 5th is on the left now aswell anyone no why this is
   other two boxs i have had were right and back for reverse and right for 5th

   Sounds like you got linkages mixed up.

   will have a look at that in morning again all looked right when re checked it

   as above... or maybe selector arm on box is on wrong way up?

   re checked it when just putting car away linkages are all right way round even had manual out to check aswell .
   selector arm is right way round aswell
