Hey guys, posted the other week about head gasket failure so me n my mate set out to fix it. Got a new gasket and got the head skimmed. Then realised the cam was shot.
So off to the scrappy, when we was there we showed the guy the cam and our newly skimmed head. He told us the head was shot. Where the cam sits was all worn down. So he said we could have this head that he had with a decent cam sitting in it for the same price.
So we get back fit it all together and boom car wont start. It turns over but wont fire. We will be looking at it this morning, what should we be looking at checking? My friend said last night one of the injectors wern't on properly then tried it, its fired but battery was dead. So ive charged it over night.
I have the keypad immobiliser on it but that goes green as normal.
I have a toad alarm fitted and im not sure if it could be that? Were certain all connections are back in place. Do u think it could be that head we put in? possibly the valves?
    Cheers

if its turning over realy fast it will be ur valves or could be head is warped hence no compression check for spark and make sure ur gettin fuel hope this helps failing that check ur timing

its not turning over fast, well no faster than it normally would. im not getting a spark at all. what could it be?

Is your crank sensor plugged in securely?

electrics sound a bit dodgy, ecu you using? And is the coil working properly or shorting? Check earth connections all over

    Cam Timing 180degrees out?

But if you got spark issues, check the supply to the coil pack... then if you have voltage but no spark, but a spare coil pack on from someone before investing.

If not trace the system back to find the fault

crack sensor is in place, not been touched. coil pack was the original one that worked fine before... ill try a scrappy one tomorrow. i think its an electrical problem. could it be my toad alarm thats done it? i have a friend coming disconnect the alarm to try that.
