Rev Counter not working!

   My Saxo has been sitting around for a couple of months not doing much and i've finally taken it out for a spin! Only to find that the rev counter/gage doesn't work! All the other dials work - speedo/ fuel etc
   
   Any clues or suggestions what todo? I had to jump start the car because the battery had died. ?
   
   Help! :-)

   try fuses if not i would say check wiring to it. in my old vtr the wires behind rev counter had melted together
