Aprillia rs125?

Are these quicker than a mk2 vtr? I was driving to work this morning and it shot off, looked quick as fuck, diddnt even think it was a 125 at first?
  2. #2
    No they're not quicker.
off the line, yeah possibly. But as soon as you pull past 50/60 you'll leave an RS125 behind.
  3. #3
lol cheers, diddnt want to get flamed for a little kiddy whos faster question but this seemed pretty rapid.

I have owned 2 Rs's 1 of them standard(RS50) other with subtle mods (RS125) etc... exhuast 34mm carb filter and that thing moved would hit 100 started to strugle at about 80 tho. 0-60 was around the 5.5-6.5second mark.

They are immense machines for only a 125

    Edit: These were mine

  17. #17
    They'll hit 100 in de-restricted form which is 33bhp
  18. #18
The 125gp spend thousands apron thousands on their 125 and they just crack 120... Yet every kit with a 12 year old rs can do that easily.
Clearly the professionals are doing it wrong.

I go by facts, not bullshit kids.

Actually, the HRC GP Honda's can crack 140+

Bradley smiths old Honda 125 went trough Cartegena's speed trap at 148mph when I was testing there.. x
  21. #21
I can do 400mph on a push bike, if I post a photo of me sat on a push bike will that be proof enough?

Keep your billy bullshitting to the park kids...

Cos it is an RS50.... exhaust is on wrong side for it to be a 125
  23. #23
    P.s

Forget any of your modern piss pot zing zing 125's... the RS125 Extrema was a proper 125! Came with a 34mm carb, and power valve as standard, claimed to be 33bhp.. but more like 30

    Quick for what they were

And im not a billy bullshitter kiddie.. im 36 lmao! Had one when i was 30 haha
  24. #24
Owning a moped at 30 makes it worse..

Do you also own a full Lonsdale track suit?

And that was brought from the auto trader for £900 was it?....
See where I'm going with this? Anything can go any speed you want it too, but safely, strongly and be reliable to do so at any time you want is a different matter.

    No, of course not.

I was just stating a fact that for £30k you can do 140+ on a 125.. If thats your thing.

Personally, I think RS125's are decent for what they are.. When I was 17 i loved the ones that I had, now I ride a 600.. I think they're kinda gay, when you see someone twice my age riding around on Loser plates.

  37. #37
Im not a bike fan, i loved my Derbi gpr 50 and Mito 125 til i realised two strokes constantly explode with no real reason , i just don't understand why people can't believe 125's can do over 100 haha .. guess you have to own one.
  38. #38

i agree the cagiva mito are great little bikes, dont they have a one down seven up gearbox?
  41. #41
My brothers de restricted Aprilia RS125 could do just over 90mph and yes I believe they are quicker then a VTR off the line, but you'd easily over take it when it pulls over because it's head gasket would had gone.

My brothers has had two proffessional engine rebuilds and it still fucks up. It's actually broke now come to think of it.
  42. #42
They were made for racing..thats it.

They just had lights stuck on them and sold like that for the road, they're to finely tuned for road use imo. Unless you spend time maintaining and warming it up before each ride.. Which no-one does.
  43. #43
They're a fucking moped with stickers, get over it....

a moped will not reach speeds as high as motorcycles do. Typically, a moped will top out at around 35-45 miles (approximately 56 km) per hour. Engine size of a moped is never greater than 49 or 50 cc, and anything higher will be considered a motorcycle.
    Aprillia RS125 ... there's a clue in there somewhere
