any one else had this gear box problem

    does the knock sound any faster as the revs climb? does it go away when you push the clutch in?

    Do yourself a favour and buy a refurbished gearbox - dont buy second hand as it works out more expensive in the long run.

    gear box is spot on so my mate said who was next to me baring in mind this does have a 1.1 fly wheel , clutch and thrust bearing lol its a vtr

    Your friend maybe right but I've been through 3 vtr boxes in about year so Im just going to go with my past experience. Good luck getting it sorted though.

    as above, but do yourself a favour and ditch the 1.1 fly wheel,gearbox and clutch. buy a vtr flywheel and get a valeo or luk clutch kit. then you wont be chewing threw clutches and boxs

    Did you check these were all done at the right torque - especially the flywheel?

    funny you say that as i think the fly wheel could be loose as all it needs is couple thow movement and only did it when i reved it hard think was not tightened enough and as i reved it just worked loose a bit then now knocking lmfao i will check inspections plate and have a feel if so have to sort it today a swap insurance lol
