icu solonoid fix

   Hi, ive just scanned my car with obd2 and it came up with the code p1523 googles the code and came up with icv solonoid malfunction, how would this be fixed? Is it within the icv itself?

   All you can tell out of this code is that the ecu has encounted an error while trying to use the ICV. This could be ECU it self, wiring or the ICV, most likely the ICV. They usualy gets stuck, try bolting it of and move it manually and then give it some oil...

   ok thanx, i have had the usual troubles with the icv revving and do have a spare so will try that cheers!

   Ok, then try the other one, but give it a little oíl before you fit it. And remember to do a reset.
   
   To reset ICV put ignition on for 10s, then off and then on again for 10s. Do this 10 times then it should reset the ICV to correct position.
