Important! : abs pump?

    Hey guys

    Ive got a vts and its got the gti6 calipers but the abs light has come on ive narrowed it down to the abs pump anyway do i get another pump or is there a better alternative 106 gti maybe?


    Any help would be great

    Are you certain it's not an abs sensor? My abs light came on once and I took it citroen, they replaced a faulty sensor. No idea where it is though.

    Well i kind of cheated and got access to the computer in my friends garage and the error code was for the pump lol but is there such thing as an uprated pump?? i havent looked on the internet yet thought id go to you guys first

    No idea, i would check to see if there are any related sensors before forking out for a pump though.

    If a sensor has gone faulty it would likely say something like the pump is knackered.

    Have you tried braking hard to see if the abs still functions? Just something i would try out before i did anything else.

    Yea thats exactly what i did to be honest its a little dodgey but then i am still getting used to the car but i dont mind forking out for new parts but ill take a look at the sensor as well just in case

    okay quick update i have a new pump from a 106 gti cost me £50 just got to wait til i get some time to fit the thing and then the onslaught of bleeding the brakes yeay lol
