Removing engine / immobiliser

   Im about to start removing the engine from my s2 gti single plug.
   
   What do i need to unplug from under the dash to keep my ecu from locking? and is it safe to do it even if the alarm has been going off with no way turn it off?

   ive un plugged the black box but cant tell if its worked as i cant start the engine. i dont get the Transponder flash when ignition is on so does that mean its worked?

   put it back on, start the car, then take the black box off when the engine is running

   You need the engine running whilst removing the black box then you need to turn engine off and see if it starts again, if it starts its unlocked. This isnt a 100% permanent unlock though, to permanently be unlocked you will need to send the ecu off, Ryanmt on here would do it if its single plug.
