Gearbox sounds like a door creaking!!

   Hi,
   
   Whenever i go for a drive after about 20minutes of driving the gearbox makes a creaking door sound when changing into any gear,really annoying! And can hear it really loud from outside, any ideas? as its driving me crazy!
   It dosnt feel much different to be honest
   
   Someone at work said something to do with linkages???
   
   Any help would be much appreciate
   
   oh yeah its a 1.1 mk1 eastcoast
