What clutch?

    I'm looking at replacing the clutch in the missus vtr(1997) but am also looking at putting the car on track in the near future will probably do 2 -3 possibly at most a year and I'm just starting was wondering what clutch u guys would recommend obviously cheaper the better! Lol

    Valeo. Dont get a LUK.

    KrisB fitted me a Valeo clutch on monday, cant even hear it, and smooth as a new car!

    How do I tell the difference? How much are these generally? Anybody have a link or company name they have used to buy these clutches cheap or? I have seen gsf sell them on eBay for £98

    I wouldn't settle for other than Valeo now. Just gave the GTI a new clutch and replaced the the R's when i had it. Try your local motor factors, they should give good prices. If i remember rightly 106 parts do a 200mm clutch kit for £89, not sure if it will fit yours. There is the 180 and 200mm sizes

    You can get a Valeo for 48 pounds from carparts fr less or europarts with the discount codes as I have just fitted one

    thats a 180mm, not a 200mm as found on VTRs and VTSs

    from what? the VTR and VTS both use a 200mm clutch

    I offer a Valeo fully fitted for £190. Also offer a 'plus' service with this for an extra £45 and that's replacing all the seals.
