   Hi guys finally got around to doing my driver side bearing today when i took the hole thing apart i noticed the cv on my driveshaft had split open and was leaking grease when trying to turn it i also noticed it was very stiff, could this have been my original problem to begin with meaning loud dronin/grinding noise??

   yes it could have been, due to the lack of grease in the cv joint will have caused wear. tbf get an new shaft as the joint is on it's way anyway save the ball ach of changing the bearing.
