Lowering shocks

   This is going to seem a bit of an amateury question but
   
   what does this do?
   and are they any good?

   What im thinking in my head is that if I get these and get them fitted I can lower more than 40mm on standard? is this correct?
   
   Or will I need other things
   Reason I ask is that I have seen lowering kits for like 300 quid when these are 60, springs normally are 50ish.
   
   I am planning to lower 35mm on the front and 40mm on the back soon on standard rear.
   Can I go lower if I buy these?

   They are basicly oe replacement shocks, apex do a reasonably priced kit (around £200 iirc) which includes front/rear shocks and springs, and they are shortened shocks designed for lowering, which is the best way of doing it if you are intending to go lower than about 30/40mm, you can use standard shocks but they wont last a great deal of time. With the height you are planning standard shocks would be ok though tbh.

   Been on my standard shocks for about 4-5 years now with no problems lol, been looking at replacing them though now, plus you can get them ones from Kam for cheaper...

   Fair play mate, quite a few people who have mullered them though, im currently on those bilstein b4's too though and they're not too bad at 50mm, who knows how long they would last but they will be getting changed again soon.

   So If I buy them, I still cant go any lower than 40mm?

   go as low as you want mate, I'm down 50mm on standard shocks all round

   Anyone have a picture of a saxo 35mm/40mm, looked at the guide but the saxo shown is far away and you cant tell/see much difference, would like to see a close up

    You can go as low as you want mate, there just not designed to be used as lowering shocks
