Important! : Coolant temp sense!!

   Ok my temp gauge has stopped working I've looked into it and it's my coolant temp sense but my fan has stopped working aswell is this connected to the temp sense in any way or is it a fuse? And if it's a fuse is it under the bonnet or dash? Help is appreciated

   I don't suppose the coolant temp sense of a 1.1 would be exactly the same as a 1.6 vtr would it?
