Right i got a vtr with 60mm vts springs in the front standard shocks so i assume 55mm due to engine weight and the rear is 40mm Standard Dampers done by KrisB.

I have seen how many people have 95/50/15 so went and got a set as obviously they where cheaper than the 45's, im now getting horrible rubbin on normal driving and none of the suspension is soft im confused and ina bit of a

50 is the wrong profile for the car - you're always going to get a little bit of rubbing with them imo. Switch to 45.

Where is it scraping? front or back?

    I run 50's..

Used to scrape on the front bumper brackets -60mm spax.. I trimmed them and it reduced it.

Now its -35mm on the front, although it looks lower.. it never scrapes.

mine scrape on the rear on wheel arch liner but i put it down to my wheels being ET11 and 7J wide, if they were standard vts wheels i doubt they would rub

Well i have noticed all saxos rub on the nsf when on full lock so parking etc unless you take out inner arches or trim like you said, but i have had it on the front top or inner but whilst going straight and have had it on the rear which im really shocked about considering i was doing 35 down a average road

Im down 50mm and i only ran 50 profiles for about 2 weeks because it annoyed me! Fronts used to catch on full lock, and every time i hit a bump the rears would just catch the linings. Im running 45's now nothing catches, not on full lock or even with lots of weight in the back of the car. You may be able to sell the tyres second hand? Are they decent tyres? Would deffo change to 45's personally though.

As said its the front bumper brackets where you tyres will be rubbing.

mine used to rub on 50's down 60mm all round, changed to 45's and only rubbing i got was front on full lock and rear bumper brackets until i cut it off with an angle grinder.

ive got 50's and it rubbed on the rear bumper brackets. i couldnt afford to buy new lower profile tyres so i ground the brackets back a bit. seems to be fine now, cant hear any rubbing and no signs of contact or wear on either the tyre or on the bracket

Yeah and always thought 15's in general make nsf rub on full lok slighty if you have the inner arches and yes they are toyo t1r's covered like 30 miles.

Thanks to all, and i have the inner arches on the rear and noticed in the light thats where they had caught so gonna take them out when i get a day off work and see if that will sort it, not gonna be taking weight in the back thats for sure as the rubbing was just with me and a friend in the car with no rear seats.

I have sorted my rubbing problem this week.

Currently running VTS rims on 195/45R15 and rubbed going over certain bumps or with 2 people or more in.

All it required was, like most people seem to suggest, is a slight grinding modification to the rear bumper bracket and ever since that I have not heard any noises over the bumps I used to get the noise on. Am yet to try 2s up though
