Handbrake sensor question

   The red light on the dash is not working when i raise the handbrake .... replaced the sensor and still no joy so must be the wiring.
   
   Does anyone know if this is checked at the MOT ?

   check the wire for any breaks or get a multi meter and test it see if theres any voltage

   Bulb on the dash may have blown.
