Car died

    driving along at about 20 mph, sudden loss of power car rolls to a stop, electrics work fine, engine will turn over when key is turned but will not catch. i.e. engine will not run. pushed it to a nearby carpark, strong smell of petrol along the way. no major signs of leaks. it was dark couldnt get a good look at it, will go back to it today. any ideas what to look for ore what might have happened?

    Sounds like a connector has come off, you hit a pothole or anything?

    as cam says, check the red fuel cut off switch on the bulkhead though smell of petrol would suggest its getting fuel through.
