Gearbox noise?!

Mechanical noob so bare with me,
Past week or so in my 1.1 when I change gear, the gear stick seems stiffer to move and makes a 'creaking' noise.

Any ideas?

could be the linkage, try spraying some oil on the large ball part of the linkage underneath the car, mine was very stiff on the 306, done this and it was like a different car!! i did put grease on first and it worked but i found after a while loads of dirt stuck to it and made it worse!!

Had the same problem mate, greased all the linkages and its fine now
