Lost locking wheel nut?

  1. #1
Hi everyone, As the title says I have lost my locking wheel nut and can't for the life of my find a way to get them off. I've got the anti-clockwise threaded sockets but they won't work so wondering if anyone know's anyone within West Yorkshire who does them? Or a good tip to get them off? I've also been told that some VTS's actually have the same key...?

ideally with those reverse tread wheel nut removers you need a impact wrench. just get a socket and smash it over with a hammer

Yep them reverse thread things work best with an air gun

And yes it is possible someone else has the same key as you BUT you need to know the key numver

as said, try and smash a tight size smaller socket on it

or weld a nut onto it

or try and tap it round with a hammer and punch but its doubtful

id just take it to the nearest garage tbh they probably come across this everyday

knock a smaller sized socket over the top, thats what i had to do on my old 306

make sure the socket yo use is an impact sockt to do this as you will just end up breaking normal sockets. try it and give it a good whack with a big hammer
