Hi, Just when i dont need it, the saxo develops a problem.

Basically, the digital clock is on as normal without the key in, Soon as i pop the key in and turn the ignition on, the clock digit disappears and i get a clicking noise, and the immobiliser, battery and a couple of other icons are flickering on the dash. The car doesnt even sound like its trying to start.

Im thinking battery am I right ?

yes you are right... recently had been a idiot and flattened the battery and it did the exact same thing. jump the car and run it for 30 mins at around 3k revs to recharge the battery

You rekon its worth getting a new battery ?. Or jump start it and run it for a bit see how it goes ?

What im thinking is why has it run down in the first place. Its an energizer battery, not sure if those are the ones that come with the saxo fresh from factory or not.

up to you entirely mate. But I would also check the alternator as that might be faulty and may not be charging the battery. Halrauds do a free battery and alternator test
