Hi everyone. I've been told that my seal from my headgasket rocket cover is leaking. Anyone know how to fix it and where to get the seal from. Or should i take it to garage to get it done.
I have a oil leak and its from headgasket rocket cover seal

#2Which one is it? Your rocker cover or your headgasket? Both are reasonably common on saxos/106s. Get a picture up if you can
-
#3its from the head gasket seal i think theres oil all over the top of the rocket cover hiw do i go about fixing it is it an easy job?
-
#4make sense man.
is it the rocker cover gasket (the rubber one) or the actual headgasket?
if it's just the rubber rocker cover gasket then easy it's two 10 mm nuts holding the rocker cover.
the head gasket a little more involved but still easy as eating pie. -
#6Took some pics let me know what you think

#7Its your rocker cover gasket, as you can see in the last pic....its perrished to fuckery! two 10mm bolts, easy. job done, there only few quid from Citroen
-
#8rocker cover seal....order a new one, undo the 2x10mm bolts on the top, take off the rocker, replace the seal, and put it back together and bobs your aunty, done

#9Thanks for both your help. So can I just get them from any citroen dealer
-
#10yes you can

#12dont just keep winding the nuts up when replacing it though. i did this once and split the rocker cover hahahahahahaahahaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
get a torque wrench and use the values from Haynes to do it properly. -
#13if its a 1.1 it should have a metal cover inside with two spacers make sure if its the same as mine that u dont drop spacers in where the cam sits if its the one with sheild and spacers u cant tightin it to much anyway . but still just nip them up .

#14Yeah mate its your rocker cover. I work in a motor factors and this must be one of our best selling parts lol
Just go to any motor factors and buy a rocker cover gasket
If it helps the part number in FAI is RC220
Hope this helps
