angel eyes problem help

fitted my angel eyes the other day so i went to my garage to have them adjusted so they were at the right level and it appears they have been assembled wrong. the small plastic clip inside the light that attaches to the adjuster is missing on one side and neither of the sides are connected to the adjuster either.
anyone had this problem?
looks like im going to have to take the light apart...

Pop some photos up but if I remember correctly the adjusters are pop fitments and may have just popped out - are you fixing them to manual or electric adjusters in the car?
