under car indicators

   ok so i had a funky idea in that i could put some amber coloured led strips down the sides of the car but wire them up to the indicators so that the flash along with the side repeaters.
   
   any idea on wether or not this is technicaly legal??
   
   as far as i could find u could legal desplay white to the front amber to the sides and red to the rear. so providing i use them lights are neons still illegal???

   i cant see it being illegal.... but it under the car would look silly, but your defo on to something. could look awesome if you put it in the right place...

   When you are next to a car and they turn their indicator on, how the fuck are you meant to see it if its coming from under their car? Will you be able to see it during day time? It's illegal as fuck not to mention the sheer pikey factor of the whole idea.
   
   I'd say no. Under car neons weren't cool 10 years ago and they certainly aren't now.

    And back to lilbenchy if you look at an audi r8 that has an LED strip within the light unit... and that looks good. having it separate should be legal as long as it is easily visible and conforms with all the normal regulations....

    general undercar neons are, but thats because of the colours, and how they are mounted.
    
    as said above, if its orange from the side's, white from the front, and red from behind there is nothing a copper can really do

    basicaly the focus i have atm until i can afford do do what i want with another far is just staying pretty basic. im just randomly covering it in lights for a laugh so grean foot well neons. green side lights. green strobes etc its more gimiky then to ever look good its just me messing with a few nates cus the cars not worth trying to actualy make it look good
    
    so again i understand ur dislike to neons and i share it. it just seems like a fun and diffrent idea to play around with.

    so i have been doing some research and cant find out realy how legal it would be.
    
    also i had a red neon lying round the house so ive wirdd that up to the brake lights

    its illegal! only allowed silly colour llike green on side white on front and pink on back i think something silly like that, why not just put on a switch? and have what ever colour you want

    dont quite think tht is right as every car must then be illegal as they all have orange indicators on the side not green and red brake lights not pink!! correct me if i am wrong like
