I'd get the 50mm Apex kit off kamracing its £211 IIRC best budget kit you'll get

stay away from gmax, theyre awful
    so soft and bouncy
look at apex, spax or eibach. they say as a general rule, any lower than 40mm and you should change your shocks as they arent designed to run that low. However technically there is nothing stopping you from using them. It will comprimise the life of them and your ride comfort/handling. If you cant afford new shocks then standards will be fine but you will notice new shocks are well worth the money.

springs arent hard to fit but depends on your skill already. If you have tools etc, and a spring clamp, there is a guide on here. Its quite straight forward when looking at it. Will probs take you a whole day to do if its your first time

its not 100% necessary for the front or back, but it is advised. Upto at the end of the day. You will be the one spending the money and driving it.
If you are getting a full kit, then Apex or spax front and back id go for. Infact i used to have a spax kit and it was a good kit. Quite firm but i liked it like that. Its not absolutely important that you have matching front and back shocks. Depends how anal you are. For the road, my car feels fine with gaz front shocks and spax rears.
