so i was leaving work yesterday and was driving past my pal(who has a history of stock car racing like myself) he said you have a chap...so asked um where he said sounds like back...personally i couldnt hear it inside(it wasnt for trying btw lol) then 12 mile along road i heard it...3 more to my house n car hasnt moved its up on axle stands and the rear right has play... will i have caught this before its done the damage? replace the bearings? if so how long they last if axles bahuggered?! thanks for replys in advance really need to get parts in tomorrow and fix it!

you could get away with changing the bearings if you caught it early enough, only way to check is to take off the trailing arms and see the condition of the stub pins that the bearings roll on as when the bearing goes it starts to grind away at the pins

well thats first noise i have heard personally...do i just take off the plate that has 13mm head on it n remove the trailing arm? will anything fall out? should i be aware of anything?

    This should help, hopefully.

I've also got a fubar'd rear beam. Looking at refurbishing it, but I think it may be to far gone..without taking it apart I don't no.
Sorry to hijack the thread, my rear wheels appears to be wobbling when looking the side mirrors at times.. they're also cambered.
Would the wobbling show that the bearings have gone and are wearing into the beam itself?
