Locking problem.

   Right this happens on and off, sometimes for a few days it fine, then for a few days it's not.
   
   Few things which may help you help me, my cars de-locked and has a toad alarm fitted.
   
   Sometimes when I lock my car my alarm arms as locked but the car locks and unlocks straight away, any ideas why? Randomly the other day it locked the car with my drivers door open. Obviously it something to do with my door handle/hinge yeah? It was alright for about 8 months and has recently started playing up.
   
   Any solutions or tips?

   Have you tried the door plunger on the A pillar? This controls the interior light on both sides and is probably connected to the alarm to tell it weather the doors are open or closed.
   
   Try greasing the door catch and cleaning the contacts in the plunger.
   
   Might help.

   check the door pins. mine used to lock unlock when it felt like it, turned out the passengers door pin had twisted and was catching, so it wouldnt move enough. Hence when you lock it the pin catches and moves back to unlock.

   Noticed today if I close my door normally it has problems locking but if I do it more gently it locks first time :s.
   
   My interior light has never come on with the drivers door open, never worked as far as I can remember but the alarm still locked.
