my door has dropped i think makes a horrible noise when opening and shutting and at the bottom right the door is starting to rub on the cill and take the paint off

how the hell do you sort this out? any ideas x

Check the door mounts are tight or have moved, if have will see difference in paint

Stick some wood underneath the door and rest it on where the door sits on the car and bend it up.

Had to do this with my old car.

Piece of 4x2 under the wide part of the door bottom (not the edge)
either jack it up with trolley jack or another longer piece of 4x2 and lever the door back up. Do it a bit at a time and keep checking until it lines up again.
Sounds a rough arsed way but they use this method on new cars (factory) when fitting them.

    Do they fuck.

not sure if the hinges on the lupo doors are welded or bolted mate if they are welded its prob's the pin that slots into the socket that has worn and dropped. If there bolted then just loosen the bolts then lift the door a little then tighten and keep playing until your happy.

Fitting doors with wood and jacks in the factory what the fuck is he smoking?

i will have a gander at the hinges if not i will try the wood technique.. this is also a good way to roll arches. i used a yellow pages tho jack car up. stick yellow pages in arch, drop jack down = rolled arch haha

With a welded hinge it's the only way to get the door to align, bolted hinges are adjustable.
Obviously they use a metal/rubber tool in the factory not a piece of 4x2.

Bedford, how many car factories have you worked in?

Don't need to common sense and 9 years in the auto trade tells me you are talking out of your arse. Maybe you have done it but no way would any one who actually knows what there doing would use this way by bending the door and collapsing the a pillar.

Ohh look they even make a pro tool for bending hinges. so why use a jack and fuck the door up?
