headlight sdjuster under steering wheel

    tried searching for this but cnat find my answer

    so the dial under the steering wheel for adjusting headlights doesnt seem to work on my mk1

    ive tried moving it and looing at beams on a fence they dont move, ive checked wires and fuse and all seem ok , anything im missing?

    can you hear if the motor is doing anything? if you can hear it working, have a look where the motor goes into the back of the headlight. is the white part that comes out of the motor attached? might have popped out

    nope cant hear anything either

    everything else that works off that fuse is ok though?

    A`h I was just clutching at straws mate,no loose wires on the adjuster plug are there?

    my drivers one doesn't work. doesn't bother me as the fezzy never had one so i don't care on the saxo. not needed anyways.

    Are you sure you're not adjusting the dash light one by mistake? It's an easy one to make, I did it a few times. The light one is further to the right and towards the front of the car a bit.

    motors might just be knackered. You'll never find a saxo where all the electricals work perfectly so id just put up with it mate

    ye it doesnt bother me, just i thought they had to be working for mot?

    Could go down the scrappy and get a dial out of one to see if it's that. Other thing to do is get a multimeter and test yours see if it has power going to it/coming out of it.

    dont think i has to be working, because the lights can be adjusted manually aswel

    yep, the mot man will probably just manually align them for a tenner or something and theres an mot
