HELP !!!! ignition problems

   i have a mk1 saxo vtr...............car was perfect when i bought it
   
   recently she stopped starting, for a while she would jump start , now she will only start via bump starting, i changed alternater yesterday, bumped her and ran her for about 30 mins, turned her of and back on and she fired up no prob, went back to her an hour later and she was dead again..................
   
   new battery needed?
   did i not let her charge long enough?

   Take it for a drive to halfords? - they do a free battery / alternator test iirc?
   
   Sounds like battery isn't holding charge if you've put a new alternator on it..

   a got a new battery so al see how that goes tonight, fingers crossed, any ideas if not, bad earths?
