#2where is the dent, how big is it, has it creased the body work? split the paint work?...
some you can push / plunge out. -
#3How can you get stone chips out..? They are already chips out of your paintwork so you need to fill them back in. Tcutting them would just make them even deeper.
-
#4watched a video on youtube once they heated the dent up then froze it or the other way round and the dent popped out. dunno if it actually works though.
-
#5depend on if it creased/split the paint but if not then you can use the hot/cold approach or do want i did use a sink plunger sound daft but it worked for me
-
#6it hasnt split the pain at all. got one major one in the left front arch... might take some pics in the morning of the ones that i cant get out
-
#7actually one dent has split paint, but it is impossible to get that dent out.
-
#8take it to body shop they get it out as it need beating/filler/spray etc
-
#9body shop = spending alot of money. lol
-
#10Pm me , I do full resprays from 500 quid , n drop the price if helped we prep
-
#11As said, if you have stone chips (i.e missing paint where a stone has removed it) You'll obviously need to paint it.
Some dents can be removed but the likelyhood of needing a bit of paint is high. -
#12cheers for all your help guys! got most of them out. got 2 to finish off gave up in the end. got most of the day tomorrow to finish it off
one is easy to fix, the other is a pain although i did most of it!
any tips on this:
thanks in advance!
It was about 2 inches bend in (hit a pillar) and now its a about half a CM... -
#13replace the boot
-
#15i picked up a new boot for £20
-
#18sorry but this is what gets on my tits no matter what your going to have to send money no way you going to beat that out will still want filler and paint ...i give up!!!!!!
-
#19The most cost affective solution is to replace the boot, a really simple job to do.
-
#201 way of getting a dent out is heat the metal up (it makes the metal more rigid? if thats the right word to use)
anyway heat up the metal then use something like a bottem end of a lighter or anything simular could do the trick,
prize out the dent, dont just push or hit at it because that will increase the likelyhood of cracking the paint
this works on SOME dents, not saying it will work for all but give it a try -
#21doubt it will work on that boot mind lol
