really need help and advice please

   Hi all I have a late 2001 plate vtr.
   I have just changed my gearbox for a mk1 gearbox from my old vtr. Everything seemed to connect back up fine and I adjusted the clutch cable as the haynes manual suggets. Now for some strange reason the biting point is really high and the clutch slips all the time.
   Anybody no what's up? hope someone can help

   did you get any oil on your clutch plate or have you changed your clutch plate at all ? or you might of ajusted your clutch up to much back it off abit on the ajuster mate

   No I didn't clutch the clutch at all

   If I adjust the cable the pedal just goes really low at the moment its level with the brake pedal
