    my r is an s reg..is this obd 2 ..if so is flea bay the best place to buy a code reader from?

    Yep you need a 30 pin Lexia-3 scanner mate.Not obd2 btw.

    No thats wrong. the second link will do you fine. Your car is OBD2. A lexia/pug planet laptop based program with the correct hardware is the ideal one to use for cit/pug (theres a group buy on somewere at £70) but a simple code reader will do. Depending on your budget there is various ones i have a AutoP which does lieve data also. Snap-on do a range too.
