cleaning gasket surface at manifold

   I'm having some trouble sealing my manifold where it joins the cylinder head, I was wondering what can I use to clean up the surface on the head so it will be smoother for a better seal? just there is some baked on dirt and stuff that could do with coming off, cheers

   try some wire wool that should do the trick mate

   Emery cloth,I usually use a gasket scraper 1st though.
