cant seem to find any info on this, was brought to my attention there are 3 bearing sizes... i thought there was only 2..

planned on salvaging the J cam from a warped rallye head i just bought and using it in a VTR black top head

    anyone know if it'll fit?

The info I got was from a thread I made a while back from a user called vtr_chris90, think he had some sort of hybrid 8v on bodies or similar. He said that it wouldnt fit in a normal vtr blacktop head, had to be a rallye/xsi head but I cant find the thread again now!

I thought there were two bearing sizes, but since been assured that - as above - a rallye cam will only fit a rallye head.

Balls, that means the brand new seal won't fit the vtr head either

    Cheers lads

A rallye cam, will certainly not only fit a rallye head!
My mate was running a rallye cam in his 1.6xsi head, which I'm led to believe is the same as the vtr head?
May be wrong on the heads being the same though.

Rallye forum is best place for an answer?

is the early vtr the same as the ph2 rallye? if it is. itl fit, the 1.6 xsi engine is the same as the ph2 rallye. and the ph1 rallye cam definately fits the 1.6xsi.

The odd thing is, Im sure Kent listed the same part number for their cam (PT11 or PT40, I forget which) which would suit a VTR or a S2 Rallye.

I got a head on the way, I'll give it a blast when it gets here, it's off a 97 vtr so there's hope lol

is the differences in the cam bearing sizes between roller and solid rockers? iirc all the early pugs used non roller but unsure about citroen. some of the ph2 106s quickys etc had roller rockers, but sadly never measure one of there heads.

Roller and non roller are two diff size, but apparently there were three bearing sizes, so I'd assume shitroen used a diff size on their non roller engines

To fully wrap this up for any future reference, defo doesn't fit a blacktop vtr!!!

thanks for confirming. Could sell it on Rallye Register and get a VTR one, you'll get good money for a J cam on there most likely
