mk 1 headlights

   evenin all
   
   does anybody know if i can tint any part of my headlights? Its an s reg (the squarer light)
   
   can i tint the side bit leading up to the lense? and leave the reflective part?

   You can split them and paint the insides in a similar way to the mk2 lights, it's easy to tell which part to paint when they're apart. If that's what you mean?

   put them in the oven for 5 minutes, and pull them apart. Be carefull not to shatter the glass as i did. Theres a replaceable reflective bit inside the headlight which you can spray black

   the oven works better than maybe a hairdryer or heatgun on low setting ( obviously far enough away not to crack the glass)??

   also i ve got black spray... to do my various bits of trim on my r...take it i can use this

   i found an oven works better. Just keep checking on it not to melt the plastic. i used a hairdryer the first time and didnt fully melt the glue so cracked the glass
   
   any black spray will do
