hi there 51 Saxo VTR
noticed the other day that exhaust sounded little blowy. While I was out it decided to brake of near where the middle pipe joins the manifold end (lucky had a large jubblie clip in boot managed to jack car up and hook exhaust to the frame)
(the old exhaust was a straight through pipe, so have not seen a standard one on the car)
when fitting a new middle pipe with box, i noticed a piece of metal resting on the manifold pipe, looks like it should be joined to the pipe. or is it simpley there to rest against the pipe (hope pic works)

i have fitted new middle box and it just wont line up at all, all fits together fine just back box is just on the bumper, and the middle box seems to be a bit lower than it should be?????????
any help or advice would be appreciated
