hi had this problem a while now it used to cut out doing it, as soon as i dip the clutch coming up to a junction the revs drop really quick and start going up and down near 1k revs. ive changed nearly every sensor and icv. the only thing i havent changed is the lambda sensor. i also get a slight shudder when the revs pass 1.5k revs and when pulling away. any ideas on this as i cant seem to get to the bottom of this problem. hope someone can help cheers
revs dropping too quick and bouncing

#2When was the last time you did a service ? get your self down halfords buy some bosh super four plugs, oil and a filter and get fitting it, i was suprised at what a differnece it made on my car, if its still doing it after that then id recomend changing the lambda but it sounds like your plugs are nackerd, also could be your coilpack,

#3ive changed plugs they were clean but did anyway, coil pack, fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter, injectors, oil change was about year ago.Quote:When was the last time you did a service ? get your self down halfords buy some bosh super four plugs, oil and a filter and get fitting it, i was suprised at what a differnece it made on my car, if its still doing it after that then id recomend changing the lambda but it sounds like your plugs are nackerd, also could be your coilpack,

#4probs take plugs out and clean them up then, sounds like a coilpack or lambda issue to me mine used to do it at low ravs used to hold back then suddenly jump forward sorta thing, verry bad when cold

#5I'm in the same boat pal. Changed all sorts and it's exactly the same...

#7Have you changed the green temperature sensor?
-
#9ah right ok, I had this and the temp sensor was the last one I tried (about £12 new) and that resolved it, I did replace the MAP sensor before hand though.
-
#11This does sound like a coilpack issue but if the car is only trying to stall and no other performance issues then I would say the coilpack is not the problem

#12Mine idles fine and everything even when cold but revs stick and power drops then surges and if I drop my clutch it cuts out.
A new map sensor made things worse for me which I dont understand. I've just checked my lambda, in the rain, and it's clean as a whistle. A new coil pack made no difference. I put drops of water on each manifold outlet and the water dried up evenly so all are firing.
I've cleaned the throttle body, oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, new plugs, coil pack, map sensor and still feels dodgy.
But it could be an intermittent problem. So my coil pack could work sometimes and then sometimes not so when I try another and there's no change I rule that out.
Been struggling with this for months now... -
#13i just took the lambda out and its a brown rusty colour is this normall? and is it possible to clean them?

#14How many miles you covered over the last year ??
