Bodywork attachment?

  1. #1
    Hi
How does this part of the body work attach?
It's the rear quarter on the passenger side just above the side skirt
I can't see how it attaches
    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Clips, the whole vt kit is held on by clips

    Kinda helpful
But I don't see where a clip would go onto that....

in the last picture, that rusty looking thing is the clip carrier that is meant to be attached to the kit that has pulled away. for a quick fix I'd tiger seal the rusted looking carrier and then squeeze the vt kit onto it and tape in place until it is dry.

if this way doesn't float your boat, your going to need to remove the kit and glue a new carrier thingy on (buy from Citroen). but IMO the first way is quickest and easiest

I thought that, then thought well how would it even attach?
But that sounds feasible, I shall get it gripped back on

Clip looks a bit rusty ! As above, tiger seal along it and if you can, have something heavy too press against it ( without damaging of course ) while it dries. Also use some tape and leave it for 24 hours.

Theres clips that run parralel with the bump strip on the VT kit, then a couple at the bottom on the trim like in that picture.

but yeah, Tiger seal is the shit too use.

either use tiger seal, or go to B and Q and behind the counter they have an adhesive called 'sticks like s**t'
and believe me it does what it says, only costs around a fiver too

Sorting it with tiger seal as we speak!

if you take it off there is a bolt behind the rear door card and the rest is clips it will pull off

everyone fails to mention that lol

Just hoping that covering that bracket in tigerseal and keeping it held will sort it!

yea you will rip some of the metal clips off but if you've got tiger seal or similar then you can re attach them easily enough you can see where they are supposed to be stuck, and as i said if you remove the rear door cards you'll see a bolt which has to be undone
