which way does clutch go

    as in title. took clutch off the other day and cant remember which way round it goes back on
    silly question but iv searched and cant find anything. not got a haynes at hand so cant check there.

    i had a mate lend a hand with my clutch the other month and he made this amatuer mistake by bolting it on wrong. the centre of the clutch should be raised on one side. that wants to go gearbox side, away from the flywheel. it will fit the other way but the clutch springs will bash into the flywheel, and sound really horrible!

    so its where it has an extra disc on the centre that goes box side? and the very middle it is kinda lipped on the other side of it that goes flywheel side?

    yeah the side that has the splined bit raised out, goes on the flywheel side iirc.
