clutch change now peddle very high and stiff

    iv just managed to get my gearbox back on after changing my clutch. iv attached the clutch cable back on the folk arm however my clutch peddle is much higher than the brake and accelerator pedal and also seems very stiff to press.
    do i need to loosen the cable on the fork to solv this or is it something else? iv not topped up the box with oil yet but i very much doubt that would be the problem would it? also i havent attached the wishbone back onto the strut yet

    yeah loosen off the clutch cable adjuster to bring the pedal down, it shouldnt be very stiff unless you have fitted a performance clutch which has tougher springs , have you fitted the relase bearing properly and not knocked it off the fork when fitting the gearbox

    yeah the bearing did keep falling off but when there was no room at all for my hand to go in the bearing was on the fork. the amount of times it kept falling off and me putting it back on i wanted to make sure it was on right before i tightened the box on which it was 100%.
    the pedal is very very high so maybe the reason its stiff. i must have way over tightened the cable. should i just slacken the cable until the pedal is level with the rest?

    yeah i adjusted mine so that the clutch pedal is ever so slightly higher then the brake pedal , how stiff is it? does it feel like something going to break or just a bit stiffer then before?

    well my old clutch was shagged and that was tighter than a brake pedal. was worn down to the metal.
    this one is quite stiff, nowhere near as stiff as the last mind. doesn't feel like anything will break though.
