Take your bulbs out then get some emery cloth & clean off the connections where the bulbs sit.

That switch wouldn't cause it too blow fuse and wen I bridged the switch they still never worked , been told it has 2 be a faulty wire too be causen it too blow the fuses ? So anyone in glasgow area abel too fix this lol

Brake light switches can cause a fuse to blow if the contacts are heavenly worn. However sounds like a short, check all the lamps for corrosion including the high level as they tend to allow water in

Buy a load of fuses and disconnect a cluster and see if the fuse blows.

    i.e
new fuse, then disconnect a light unit and see if it blows the fuse. IF it does, try a different light unit, if it still does, try the last one. If it does, you know its not the light units causing it

check the wiring to the tailgate as it can break down with time. As one of these wires feeds the high level brake light its entirely possible that the wiring could be earthing there and blowing fuses. Wiring enters the lid through the rubber trunking on the passenger side btw

Try replace the light unit? could be a connection joining and shorting?
