lag/hangs at 5,000rpm

   VTR has a lag at 5,000rpm for around 3 seconds throu all gears (minus 5th)
   is this normal?
   
   standard apart from backbox and pipercross induction and a silly breather on the rocker cover

   Not normal.. my 8v used to pull its most at 5k.

   Must be a flat spot. Bit weird has it as ways happened or only since u have changed something ?

   Seems like a flat spot, have you changed or moved the air filer?

   i only owned the car 2 weeks.. think it needs a full service

   If a service doesn't solve it then it may be an issue with the crank sensor

   my 16v done exactly this. changed the map sensor and all is well
