#3What would happen if i didn't put any on?

#4depends on what saxo you got
if its this size one then no you dont

#5Its just a 1.1 same as the first link so i take it i dont need any, didn't see any left over seal from what was left

#7on my 1.1 i had i brought a chrome tip back box from parkers exact size to the standard 1.1 box but i had trouble with the clamp they gave me it was too thin so i had to buy a wider clamp which was ok at first but as the joint is right below the axle it made a terrible rattle when idle.
but no you dont need to seal that joint the clamp should do fine -
#9Sorted my back box out got it the other day but the old one is leaning against the shed and its dripping water or petrol out of it and i've put the new one on and thats drippin aswell what could this be? Caus it might be why the old box rusted away

#10condensation do you do a lot of small trips say to work and back?
Just water build up in the exhaust. give it a long run out and get the engine hot and will evaporate most of it away. -
#11Yeah it mainly gets little trips all the time will take it for a good drive and see if that solves the problemQuote:condensation do you do a lot of small trips say to work and back?

#12personally I hate having to do a job twice. For the sake of a little effort in beading some silicone around the flange it means that as you tighten the two parts together, if the shape is not a perfect fit you still get an excellent seal.Quote:i had a leak on mine but as the joint is under the axle that was the reason i was told i had one, the idle was shite and rattled the clamp loose but when tightened it was ok
I then just torque the olive clamp up and its job done.
