Saxo vtr mk2, knocking noise!!

   Right so I have a mk2 vtr and I got a really annoying knock coming from the front, it had 2 new wishbones, shock absorbers, and anti roll bar drop links about 11 months ago ish, fitted new top strut mounts today which have made it 50% better but still knocking on both sides I believe, mainly hear it when turn the steering backwards and forwards (it's not CV joint as its not clicking its like a balljoint knock?) I know a good bit about cars as work on them all day every day!! Lol any advice or pointers to what it could be would be highly appreciated

   Bottom arm maybe mate. My mates used to knock like fuck when going over speedbumps

   I've had 2 bottom arms on one side in the last 8 months. There shit for ball joints as I appear to have found out. Just bar it down with pry bar and see if there is any excess play.

   All sorted now, found it was the screw down clamp what holds the shock inside the strut, I wasn't 100% right and really was hard but got each side another turn tighter and now I have a nice peaceful drive again! Thought ide update for those who's got the same problem!

   I get this too, only when i steer, or mainly lock to the left when manouvering. My car hasn't blown up yet though so it doesn't bother me.

   Can you tell me where exactly is the clamp? a photo would be great. Thanx.
