door catching

Basiclly my passenger door is catching on the wing when it is opened and the plastic vt kit has been damaged as well as the paint work on both the door and wing. Anyone had this problem and point me in the correct direction of fixing the problem?

    Thanks in advance

is it the door skin loose?

nope. thought that was the problem last time, got it all tidied up and put back together then same thing happened again, so not touching up paint until i fix it this time. its as if the door has moved closer to wing, so assuming something to do with hinge maybe? im sure if i spent a few hours at it i would figure it out, just hoping some1 could save me them few hours

Loosen the bolts on your wing & move it slightly forwards, only talking about millimetres then tighten it back up.The other way would be to fit a new vt plastic panel as you say the present one is damaged.

Happened to mine to, all the edge of my vt panel is scuffed, happens right after I sprayed it, managed to get it tight enough so it misses it by about a millimetre, my passenger side door has dropped though so could be partly the cause, think done tried to break into it when my brother owned it :/

Usually this is a result of the door being opened too far usually by wind when you don't have a good enough grip on the door. This knackers the chek strap which is what prevents the door being opened too far. Feel the door when you open it fully, if it doesn't click and try to hold slightly in two positions through the arc of the opening its knackered or the bolts have fallen out.
Without that working the door will open till its hits the wing.
